Part Measuring Microscopes

UHL part measuring microscope MS1

For measuring small components there are a variety of video and non-video microscopes available – including portable models. Video models use high quality telecentric lenses, and offer easily reachable coarse and fine manual focus adjustments.  An integrated video screen and software simplifies quantifying part sizes and quality control.

Part Measuring Microscopes with video include hand-driven or motorized models with a resolution of down to 0.5 µm. The measurement range is up to 200 in the x-axis and 100 in the y-axis.

Portable models can be used on the manufacturing floor or in the field, and have the option of adding a video camera if desired.  The adjustable LED illumination can be battery powered.  Portable microscopes offers magnifications from 20x to 800x, with fields of view from 8.9 mm to 0.35 – with a resolution down to 1 µm.

Video measuring microscope

VMS Ergo

This integrated video microscope offers:

  • Measurement in x, y & z axes of 150 x 100 x 150 mm.
  • Resolution of 0.5 µm.
  • Measuring accuracy: 1.8 µm + 0.005 x L µm (measuring length L in mm).
  • High resolution digital video camera.
  • Digital zoom function (no re-magnification, real pixel resolution).
  • Integrated measuring computer with OMS measuring software and flat panel display.
  • Stable aluminum cast stand.

The ergonomic orientated design of the VMS ergo assures concentrated fatigue-proof operation. All operating controls are easy to reach. The microscope can be installed on a standard desk in only a few simple steps. Only the main power cord, the keyboard and the mouse need to be connected. All components are integrated into the base.

The resolution of the hand driven xy-stage with linear scales is 1 μm (optional 0.1 μm). Stage movement is accomplished by the unique coarse and fine adjustment. Telecentric measuring objectives guarantee a high quality, plane and distortion-free image (turret with micro optics attachment optional). The latest vision technology is incorporated which makes a digital zoom function possible (3.35x – no remagnification is used, only real pixel resolution).

UHL WMM 200 Measuring Microscope

WMM 200

This toolmakers measuring microscope offers:

  • Adjustable binocular tube (swivel range 25° to -5°)
  • Telecentric optical system
  • Movement range in x, y and z of 250 x 150 x 150 mm
  • Additional height adjustment range of 200 mm
  • Resolution of .5 µm

The WMM 200 is a toolmakers measuring microscope with swivel-mounted column, binocular tube optics providing a brilliant view.

The entire microscope column together with the transmitted light can be swiveled within +/- 20° by the handwheel to measure especially profiles (e.g. worm drives, tap drills, etc) in normal section. The swiveling angle is shown by a scale with 1° pitch. The handwheel with its precise drive and gear reduction of 2° per rotation ensures an accurate angle adjustment.

A clamping lever fixes the column in position safely. The precision measuring stage with a measuring range of 250 x 150 mm has a +/- 4° swiveling plate for manual workpiece alignment. Within a range of 150 mm the z-axis can be moved by a coarse and fine drive for focusing.

UHL part measuring microscope MS1

MS1

This portable measuring microscope offers:

  • Magnifications from 20x to 800x
  • Fields of view from 0.35 to 8.9 mm
  • Measurement range of z-axis is 8 mm
  • Resolution of 0.05 to 0.0025 mm
  • LED lamp powered by AC or Battery

The MS1 is a portable measuring microscope with coaxial and angular incident and high-quality illumination. The microscope incorporates a corrosion-resistant coated aluminum tube, ideal for heavy use during inspection or measurement of products.

Focusing is accomplished with a knurled ring control. The focus range is ±4 mm. Due to the coaxial incident illumination with a beam splitter incorporated in the tube, even fine structures of smooth surfaces can be inspected at high magnification. Angular illumination enables to inspect rough or fibrous structures (only applicable by using the lenses OP1-AL02 up to OP1-AL10).
