They have extremely long lifetimes, and some models are capable of moving very large masses. These stack & ring actuators are ideal for positioning, dampening, as well as shake and shock material testing applications. Stack actuator motions are available up to 260 µm. Ring actuators have the additional benefit of an aperture for light or objects to pass through them, which is ideal for microscopy, laser and other photonic applications.
