Models include actuators and stages that offer a wide variety of features and benefits. Air-bearing motion systems offer your manufacturing process fast movement on a cushion of air, while using a variety of drive technologies such as servo motors and spindle drives for precision nanometer motion. These 1 axis stages or actuators are ideal for large 1+ m travel, or even short-stroke operations of 8 mm. Air-bearings offer greater precision and accuracy than mechanical bearings, and exhibit minimal eccentricity (lateral runout) and wobble (pitch and roll). Many of these products use amplifiers that are CANopen and EtherCAT compatible.
